Family Session FAQ

What kind of photographer am I?
I'm a relaxed, bubbly and fun photographer who loves to capture natural images. Images with feeling, love and fun so that when Mumma looks back on these images she doesn't see them she feels them!

Where will my session be held?
I have a couple of places I conduct my sessions, my sessions are outdoors. My people are people not afraid to get a wet butt in winter or break out in a sweat in summer. You can choose from lush green trees, to out in the bush or even a trip to the beach. Some spaces are local some mean a bit of a drive. My sessions are an hour before sunset.

How long will my session be?
My family sessions range from 45min to 1 hour shooting time.

What time do I prefer to conduct family sessions?
I prefer my sessions to take place starting roughly an hour before sunset. This ensures we have even light which is forgiving on our faces in images, compared to the harsh light of midday. I am confident conducting sessions any time of the day but Golden Hour is always my preference. Its for this reason when we talk about the date we are booking your session we will generally have a backup date. In case your original date turns into an overcast day. Especially if your heart is set on images with the beautiful rays of sunshine or the sunset. I will go more into detail about this once your session is booked so don’t stress about it now I just want you to be aware why I might talk about keeping a couple of dates available. I of course can not guarantee what the weather will do at a session or on any given day (oh I wish I could control mother nature hehe) but I will do all within my ability to get you what you want.

What will my session be like?
I'm one of the kids... we will have running races, play games and have dancing competitions and I am often louder than they are. I will talk ALOT I will talk to you through the session tell you what I want you to do and tell you how awesome you guys are doing. Majority of my images are my families connecting NOT looking at the camera. I will touch all of you alot, I might even lay you on the ground and stand over you to take your photograph. Your hubby will be asked to pash you and probably grab your butt! We will become friends!

What should I wear?
Wear something you are comfortable in. Think coordinated like a wedding not matching. No T-shirts with big logos or pictures. Mumma start with yourself pick what you are wearing and match everyone else to you but at the end of the day you need to be comfortable. These a natural images if your dressed like your going out on the town it might not suit the style. Wear natural clothing for your family. Jeans are totally ok try dressing them up with boots/jacket or sweater or button down shirt for the boys. How far out are you booked?
I've got bookings two years out and am filling up quite fast especially for Autumn and Spring next year. Will I get the digital photos from my session? You will, I am all inclusive which means you will get a minimum of 60 images from your session. I want you to have them all, I don't want you to have to pick your favorites based on your budget.

How can I order prints and products from you?
When I send out your online gallery there is a store in there where you can order prints. This store is linked to my professional printer they are a little more expensive than your cheap photo kiosks in town but they are much better quality and I guarantee the quality and colour of these prints. I can not guarantee the images when you print them elsewhere.
